Method

  1. Heat butter and milk in saucepan.
  2. Stir until butter melts, add vanilla.
  3. Sift dry ingredients into basin.
  4. Add butter mixture to well in centre.
  5. Stir until smooth, pour into deep, greased 1.5 – 2.0 litre ovenproof dish.
  6. Sprinkle with topping.
  7. Carefully pour over hot water.
  8. Bake in moderate oven (180°C) for 40-45 minutes.

Topping: Combine ingredients well.
